Man stabbed to death

A man was stabbed to death allegedly by his neighbour during a quarrel over gas stove use in Latif Colony in Chittagong city's Miah Khan Nagar area yesterday morning.

Jamal Uddin, 40, a CNG-run auto-rickshaw driver, was declared dead at Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH). Police arrested Md Alamgir, 30.

There is one common kitchen with a gas stove for the tenants of multiple tin-shed houses in the colony. Jamal and Alamgir were locked into an altercation over cooking. At one point, Alamgir stabbed Jamal with a knife, said police.
