M Tajul Islam, director, Federation of NGOs in Bangladesh, passed away at his Green Road residence in Dhaka on Monday.

He left behind three children and four grandchildren.

He was the former newscaster of BTV. He served as the director of Wapda. He also worked for Biman, Brac and the foreign ministry, said a press release.

In addition, he served as the press secretary to the president, and press minister in Bangladesh embassy in Washington, DC and Brussels.

His qulkhawni will be held on Friday after the Maghrib prayers at his residence.
