Light tremor felt in Rajshahi

A light tremor shook Rajshahi and its surrounding areas last night following an earthquake originated at Natore district.

Bangladesh Metrological Department measured a 4.2 magnitude earthquake on the Richter scale at 8:15 pm, says its website.

The epicentre of the quake was at Natore, 135-km north-west of the Seismic Centre at Dhaka, the release added.

Many locals said they felt the tremor for a few seconds. No damage was reported.
