JU admission process postponed
Jahangirnagar University (JU) authority today postponed indefinitely the first year admission process for the academic sessions 2016-17 amid protest on the campus.
The decision was taken at an emergency meeting with JU Vice Chancellor Prof Farzana Islam in the chair, said Muhammad Ali, JU deputy registrar (education).
The admission process was scheduled to begin today, JU correspondent reports quoting Ali.
Earlier in the day, the university unit left-leaning student bodies besieged the Agrani Bank branch on the campus demanding the cancellation of ‘departmental development fee’ for admission seekers.
