President urges affluent

President Abdul Hamid yesterday urged the affluent section of the society to invest in scholarly research works as it will play a significant role in boosting the country's economy.

“Our aim is to build a terrorism, hunger, poverty, superstition and illiteracy-free modern, technology-based and progressive Bangladesh. Experts, scholars and the new generation will have to come forward to achieve the goal,” he said.

He urged the scholars of the Asiatic Society to bring changes in their mindsets and stand beside people as they are the driving force of the national economy.
