"All the development projects have been implemented properly without any need for extra funding," she assured, adding, "We have the economic ability to implement a big project, other projects will not be affected…construction of the Padma bridge is going on satisfactorily and it will open by 2018."
In reply to another query, the premier said Bangladesh railway has taken measures to bring Barisal district under railway network. Rail communications will be introduced between Dhaka and Barisal via Mawa.

"The Russian Government assured us that they will manage the waste of the nuclear power plant," she said.
By implementing this project, she said, "our power generation capacity will get a boost and scientists will be able to gather necessary knowledge on nuclear power…besides, new jobs will be generated."
