Gopalganj road accident kills one

A woman was killed as a  vehicle ran over her on Dhaka-Barisal Highway at Choperkandi in Mukshudpur upazila of Gopalganj yesterday.

The deceased was identified as Jharna Begum, 45, wife of Momraj Sheikh of Choperkandi village, said Bhanga Highway police.

Quoting locals, a police official of Bhanga Police Station said Jharna was on her way to a nearby field to feed goats. She died on the spot when the vehicle ran her over, added the police officer.
