Give MPO benefits to 222 pvt college teachers: HC

The High Court yesterday directed the government to immediately give monthly payment order (MPO) facilities to 222 teachers of different private colleges across the country.

The bench of Justice Md Ashfaqul Islam and Justice KM Kamrul Kader came up with the directive following five separate writ petitions filed by the 222 teachers.

Petitioners' lawyer Advocate Mohammad Siddique Ullah Miah told The Daily Star that the government will have to give the MPO facilities to his clients immediately after receiving the HC verdict.
