Freedom fighter Anwar Hossain passes away
Mohammad Anwar Hossain, a freedom fighter and former deputy inspector general (DIG) of police, passed away at a hospital in Dhaka on Tuesday. He was 70.
He left behind his wife, two daughters and three sons, says a press release.
Following his namaz-e-janaza at a mosque in Uttara, Anwar Hossain was given a guard of honour by a skilled platoon of police. He was buried in Banani graveyard yesterday.
His qulkwani will be held at his son's residence at Uttara 10, Road 11, House 3,5,7,9 after Asr prayers on Friday.
During his lifetime, the freedom fighter founded several schools and mosques.
