Four die from electrocution
Four people including two members of a family died from electrocution in Gazipur and Mymensingh yesterday.
In Mymensingh Sadar, a woman and her three-year-old son died after being electrocuted at Akua Darbar Sharif Road.
The dead are Fatema Khatun, 35, wife of Mofizul Islam of Kamaria village and their son Mohammad Abdullah.
Abdullah came in contact with a live electric wire in the kitchen around 2:00pm. As Fatema tried to save him, she also got electrocuted, said police.
Locals rushed them to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital where doctors declared them dead.
In Gazipur, Tamanna Akter died after being electrocuted while she was connecting her mobile phone to the charger in Pelayed area of Sreepur upazila.
Tamanna, 13, daughter of Mohammed Julhas Morol of the area, was a class-five student of a local madrasa.
In Tongi, Abdul Kader -- a mason -- was electrocuted as he came in contact with an electric wire while working in Ershadnagar area. He was declared dead at Tongi Government Hospital after locals took him there.
Kader, 35, hailed from Char Meonia area of Barisal.
