Woman dies, 4 hurt as BSMMU boundary wall collapses
A woman died and four others sustained injuries as a boundary wall of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University in Shahbagh of Dhaka collapsed this evening.
A portion of the boundary wall of its C-Block collapsed around 5:00 pm during rain, leaving five people injured, BSMMU Director (Hospital) Brig Gen Md Abdullah-Al-Harun, told The Daily Star.
Parvin Akter, 45, one of the injured, died of head injuries at Intensive Care Unit of BSMMU around 7:30 pm, he said.
Other injured -- Antora Jahan, BMSSU nurse, Md Faruk, Ansar member, Jahidul Hasan, assistant sub-inspector, and Ruhul Bishwas, journalist – were admitted to the hospital.
