Fake medicine factory busted in Ctg, one held

The detectives of Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) yesterday busted a fake medicine factory in the port city's Khulshi area and arrested one person.

The arrestee is Saidul Islam, 38, of Shariatpur. Huge amount of counterfeit medicines were seized during the drive, said police.

Saidul is a former representative of a pharmaceutical company. He had been running the fake medicine factory -- Aquara Pharma -- from a flat in the area for around three years, said Inspector Aftab Hossain of the detective branch. A case was filed.
