Dr Nazrul's book on country's politics, economy launched

A book on the country's contemporary political and economic scenario written by Dr Nazrul Islam was launched yesterday.

In the book “Agami Diner Bangladesh” [Bangladesh in the days to come], the writer identified some issues that hamper the country's further development. He also mentioned necessary doings to overcome those.

Economist Dr Wahiduddin Mahmud unwrapped the book at a ceremony organised by Banglar Pathshala, which published the book, at Jatiya Press Club.

Dr Nazrul, a senior economist of the UN, wrote the book based on an open discussion on his 10 other books. Several noted politicians, economists, rights activists and environmentalists participated in the discussion last year.
