CU to make list of all of its religious books
The Chittagong University authorities are going to make a list of all the religious books kept in its central library, departments and institutes whether there are books on militancy.
In this regard, letters were sent to all the departments and institutes and asked them to make such lists and asked them to submit those within tomorrow.
CU acting registrar Prof Kamrul Huda said they asked for the lists to find out whether any kind of religious books written by controversial writers which can prompt students to get involved in militant activities.
“After getting the lists, we will decide about those books,” he added.
Earlier, on July 14, police asked the CU authorities to provide information whether any of its students remained missing for more than 10 days.
Accordingly, the CU authorities forwarded letters to all the departments and institutes seeking the information. In this regard, the official process is still going on.
