Case filed over Badda AL leader murder
A case has been filed with Badda Police Station in connection with the murder of a local Awami League leader.
Farhad Hossain, 52, general secretary of Awami League's Badda unit, was gunned down by armed men as he came out of Baitus Salam Jam-e Mosque in North Badda after offering Jummah prayers on June 15.
For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel. Morshida Begum, wife of the victim, filed the case with Badda police station yesterday, said Kazi Wajed, officer-in-charge of Badda Police Station.
Four persons were named, while several others unnamed were mentioned in the First Information Report (FIR) of the case, the OC said.
Two criminals riding a motorcycle opened fire on Farhad and fled the scene leaving him on a pool of blood.
He sustained bullet wounds in his head and chest. He was taken to United Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
