Cabinet okays proposal to ratify agreement
The cabinet yesterday approved a proposal to ratify the “Framework Agreement on the Establishment of the International Solar Alliance” in which Bangladesh is a member.
Briefing reporters after the meeting at the secretariat, Cabinet Division Secretary on Coordination and Reforms NM Ziaul Alam said International Solar Alliance (ISA) was launched at the UN Climate Change Conference in Paris on November 30, 2015.
Following that, Bangladesh signed the agreement on the sidelines of the COP22 Conference in Morocco.
The alliance will take steps to remove obstacles in boosting solar power in the member countries, he said.
