Bullet-hit body found in capital

Police recovered the bullet-hit body of a man from Shyampur area in the capital yesterday morning.

The dead is Billal Hossain alias Mishari Billal, 35, a drug trader and robber, claimed police.

Billal was wanted in 30 cases including murder, robbery, arms and narcotics, said Abdul Jail, officer-in-charge of Kadamtoli Police Station.

The body was sent to Sir Salimullah Medical College morgue for an autopsy. It bore two marks of bullet injuries in head and chest, said morgue sources.

However, Billal's mother alleged that some people identifying them as Rab officials arrested him on October 25 from Kushtia. She also alleged that the law enforcers killed her son.

Shabuddin Khan, commanding officer of Rab-10, refuted the allegation.
