Brac receives int'l dev award

Brac has received the Annual Award for Development 2018 from OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID), for is its continued humanitarian support to Rohingyas in Bangaladesh, according to a press release.

OFID, A development platform of members of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries, has been giving the award since 2006.

The award comes with a monetary reward of US$100,000. Brac will use the award money to provide further support to Rohingya women and children.

The award was presented on June 21 by Dr Carlos Naranjo, Ecuador's head of delegation and OFID governor, ambassador and representative.
