Brac launches community assistance programme around Rohingya camps

Brac yesterday inaugurated a programme to alleviate poverty for communities residing around Rohingya refugee camps in Ukhiya of Cox's Bazar.

The programme, in collaboration with UNHCR, will provide assistance and extensive training to 3,000 people, says a press release.

Among others, Cox's Bazar Deputy Commissioner Kamal Hossain, UNO Nikaruzzaman Chowdhury and Brac's Head of Humanitarian Crisis Management Mohammad Abdus Salam were present during the inauguration.
