Barrister Ishtiaq's death anniversary today

Today is the fifteenth death anniversary of Barrister Syed Ishtiaq Ahmed, former adviser to the caretaker government in 2001, says a press release.

On the occasion, Syed Ishtiaq Ahmed Smriti Parishad will place wreaths and offer fateha at his grave in Dhaka's Banani, and hold a milad mahfil at an orphanage.

Barrister Ishtiaq, a former attorney general in 1996, made great contributions to the country's democratic movements, the release added.
