Bangladesh Police playing vital role in peacekeeping: Lacroix

Bangladesh Police officials are playing a vital role in maintaining peace in conflict affected countries, said Jean Pierre Lacroix, the visiting UN under-secretary-general for peacekeeping. 

However, they need to acquire more skills to face the challenges of the United Nation’s peacekeeping missions, he added.

Jean made the remark while meeting the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mohammad Javed Patwary at police headquarter yesterday, said a press release.

He further emphasised on learning French language for Bangladesh police officials.
