Asian Age inaccessible via mobile internet
Online readers of English daily The Asian Age have been unable to access its website through mobile internet for the last three days.
The portal, however, is accessible through other internet services like broadband or Wi-Fi.
Neither telecom operators nor Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) gave any clear explanation about the blockage, the newspaper's Roving Editor Nadeem Qadir told The Daily Star yesterday.
The newspaper become unavailable through the mobile internet at 10:30am on Sunday, said The Asian Age.
The telecom operators have “blocked the link to their site”, Nadeem said, citing complaints by readers.
The newspaper urged authorities concerned to identify the cause behind this inconvenience and unblock its online version to all readers with immediate effect.
