Another held over assaulting madrasa super

Police yesterday arrested another person in connection with the case filed over the assault on a madarasa superintendent in Bakerganj upazila of Barisal.

The arrestee Sohel Khandakar, 25, is one of the thirteen accused in the case.

Sohel was arrested in  Patuakhali Saturday, said police. Drive is underway to arrest the main accused Zahangir Khondokar and Razaul Islam.

So far, four have been arrested. Criminals poured stool on the head of the madrasa superintendent at Kathalia village on Friday,  allegedly following a rivalry centring the institution's management committee election.

The perpetrators also spread the video of the incident on Facebook. Victim Md Abu Hanif, 60, filed a case with Bakerganj Police Station on Sunday, accusing six people including his brother Zakir Hossain and Zahangir.
