AG gets death threat again
Attorney General Mahbubey Alam once again got a death threat yesterday.
He said he received five letters sent by some unknown persons. The letters, which had the same handwriting and contained almost similar message, reached his office in the afternoon, he said.
Deputy Attorney General Bishwajit Debnath said the letters threatened him with grenade attack.
The letters also said he will be killed and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will not be able to protect him.
A general diary has been filed with Shahbagh Police Station in this connection, Mahbubey Alam informed The Daily Star.
Mahbubey Alam said he got death threats for five to six times since being appointed as attorney general in 2009.
