90 maund of jatka seized in Barisal

Coastguard and fisheries department seized 90 maund of jatka (hilsa fry less than 10 inches) in the Kirtonkhola river in Barisal city yesterday afternoon.

On a tip-off, coastguard officials checked an abandoned trawler in the river and seized the fish fries, said Bimol Chandra Das, district fisheries officer.
