50 organisations nominated for 'Joy Bangla Youth Award 2017'

The second "Joy Bangla Youth Award-2017" will be given to 50 new youth organisations under three categories, including sports, culture and community development.

Prime Minister's ICT Affairs Adviser Sajeeb Wazed Joy, also her son, will hand over the awards at a gala function at Sheikh Hasina National Youth Centre in Gazipur.

The award will be given to the winners through a two-day programme on October 20-21. The announcement was made at a press conference held yesterday at a restaurant in the capital.

State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid Bipu addressed the press conference. Sabbir Bin Shams, executive director of Centre for Research and Information (CRI); Nahim Razzaq, MP; and Tonmoy Ahmed, CRI associate coordinator, among others, spoke at the event.
