Atleast three persons were killed and two others injured in separate road accidents across three districts in the country yesterday.

In Gopalganj, Jhilo Mollah, 30, was killed when a truck ran over a battery-run auto rickshaw in Sadar upazila on Dhaka-Khulna highway, reports our correspondent.

The incident killed Jhilo, a passenger and injured two others, police said adding, the injured were admitted to a local hospital.

In Mymensingh, Shanto, 18, was killed when a truck crashed into his bike at Kalibari area in Mymensingh town, our correspondent reports quoting police.

The body was sent to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital for autopsy, police said adding, the truck has been seized but the driver fled.

Meanwhile in Jamalpur, Keru Das, 70, succumbed to his injuries after being hit by a battery-run auto-rickshaw in Sarishabari upazila, reports our local correspondent.

He died on the way to the hospital, police said. No further details could be known immediately.
