Transcom Consumer Products holds first-ever annual conference
Transcom Consumer Products Ltd (TCPL), a subsidiary of Transcom Group, hosted its first-ever annual conference on Saturday, aiming to start the year with a mindset of tackling the challenges that lie ahead.
Held at the Lakeshore Hotel in Dhaka, the conference bore the theme “Believe to Achieve”. Transcom Group Chairman Latifur Rahman, TCPL Managing Director and CEO Simeen Hossain and PepsiCo Country Manager Manish Muley were present.
TCPL is the first-ever PepsiCo snack franchisee in the world, starting its journey in 2014 manufacturing, marketing and selling global snack brands such as Kurkure, Lay's, Doritos and Quaker Oats.
“We have the very best snack products in the world. PepsiCo is the world leader in the snacks business and there is no reason that in time it should not become the number one snack business in Bangladesh,” said Latifur Rahman.
“We have the best people, we have the best team in place and as the Transcom family has demonstrated in every business, they have built up the business on solid grounds from scratch and have brought out successes,” he said.
“What is core to us is always maintaining our values, our ethical practices and not taking shortcuts in achieving what we want to achieve,” he said.
Simeen Hossain showered the TCPL team with praise. She said: “You have shown your capability in 2017 and you have proven that with a strong inner belief, we can achieve anything. 2018 is another year for us to outdo all expectations, a year for us to prove that we are a force to be reckoned with.”
“Take this opportunity, continue to gain inspiration from your inner belief, and let's make history. Let's believe to achieve.”
TCPL Chairman Latifur Rahman and his grandson Faraaz Ayaaz Hossain are the pillars of the company's core beliefs and actions, it said in a statement yesterday.
Faraaz defined courage, friendship and humanity sacrificing his life during the terrorist attack at the Holey Artisan Bakery in Dhaka on July 1, 2016 while Latifur Rahman always emanates his values-based ethical practices and vision for sustained excellence, according to the statement.
