Trade fair tickets available online

Entry tickets of the month-long 24th Dhaka International Trade Fair that kicked off yesterday can be purchased online at http://ticket.e-ditf.com/ and by scanning QR codes at the fair's gates in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, a first for a government programme.

The payment can be made through mobile financial service accounts and all bank cards, said Bijoy Bhattacharjee, vice chairman at Export Promotion Bureau.

Entry fee is Tk 30 for adults and Tk 20 for children.

The EPB expects some 25 lakh visitors to arrive. Of them, 20 to 25 percent may avail the digital ticketing service, it said.

“To avoid the crowd mostly youths can avail this digital service and we will provide them additional services for it, like separate entrance facilities, to reduce the hassle,” Bhattacharjee said.
