Coats to organise events on apparel technologies

Coats Global Services, a Coats business providing complementary software solutions to the apparel and footwear supply chain, is going to organise the first edition of Apparel Tech Up in Dhaka.

The daylong Apparel Tech Up—a series of events aimed at initiating a discussion on the value of technology for the apparel and footwear manufacturing space—will take place in Dhaka on February 26 and in Chattogram on February 28.

The events will highlight the importance of data analytics and how accurate data management can impact the apparel manufacturing, the company said in a statement yesterday.

Top garment makers from Dhaka and Chattogram will attend the events, which will host key note speeches from the international members of the Coats Global Services team.

The event would also include panel discussions that involve all important stakeholders of Bangladesh's garment industry, including brands, tech providers and manufacturers.

“There is no two opinions that technology is to be the inevitable differentiator that gives manufacturers an edge,” said Tram Anh Tran, managing director of Coats Bangladesh.

“With the markets getting continually more competitive, a forum to discuss the advancements in apparel technology is perfectly timed.”
