Kantar MRB launches report on internet use behavior, penetration
Research organisation Kantar MRB, a member of Kantar group, has launched a syndicated report on Internet category titled ICube.
The report covers information on internet usage behavior and penetration through different hardware-- desktop, laptop and mobile handset.
ICube was launched at a programme held at Sky Ball Room of Le Meridien hotel on Thursday, January 19, 2017, according to a press release.
The report was done as part of ICube South Asia 2016, which also includes India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka, and can be used by the industry, media agencies, and policy makers for planning internet related business strategy, the release read.
The study, partnered with technology giant Google and media agency Group M, covered individuals aged six years of above from urban areas of seven regions, providing in-depth information on IT and telecom product ownership, profile of users of internet and mobile internet, and also captured online behavior of the internet users, their consumption details, behavior and attitude towards ISP, information on M-commerce, and apps usage.
Separate reports for internet, mobile apps, personal computers, M-commerce, mobile internet, and broadband are available, according to the release.
Speakers from industries, research, and media houses shared their insights on global digital trends and Bangladesh, triggers and barriers of digitization in South Asia, growth of the digital ecosystem in Bangladesh, and planning for digital media and ICuble, at the programme.
Sanjay Pal from Kantar, Biswapriya Bhattacharjee from Kantar IMRB, Fazal Ashfaq from Google, and Rezaul Hasan from Mindshare Bangladesh spoke at the programme among others.
