ICAB launches mentorship programme for govt officials

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) has introduced a mentorship programme for government officials and the faculties of universities.

Government officials not below the rank of assistant director, Bangladesh civil service cadres, and university faculties will be able to study chartered accountancy under the programme, said the ICAB in a statement yesterday. The programme will be governed by the regulations of the institute.

The ICAB organised a seminar on Friday to disseminate the procedural requirements that will be needed to study CA. 

Kazi M Aminul Islam, executive chairman of the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority, AKM Aftab ul Islam, a director of the Bangladesh Bank, and Dewan Nurul Islam, president of the ICAB, were present at the programme.
