Body of missing schoolboy found in Shitalakhhya
Police this evening recovered the body of a schoolboy from a canal of Shitalakhhya river in Sadar upazila of Narayanganj eight days after he went missing.
Hands and legs of the victim Sabbir, 11, were tied when the was recovered from the canal in Morsina area, Manjur Quader, officer-in-charge of Narayanganj Sadar Model Police Station, told The Daily Star.
Sabbir who went missing eight days ago from Gopchar area was a class III student of Gopchar Government Primary School, the OC said.
His father – Mobarok, a boatman, filed a general diary (GD) with the police on 13 March, the OC said.
The victim’s family alleged that, Sabbir had a quarrel with his classmates several days ago before he went missing, the police official said.
