Bindu hangs up her costumes

“I officially announce my retirement from the media. It's a well thought-out decision. I'm going to concentrate on starting a family,” Bindu solemnly told The Daily Star, days after her marriage was solemnized in a private ceremony.
Rather unconventionally for a TV and film star of her success and glamour quotient, Bindu met her other half through a match-maker. She wed Asif Salahuddin Malik, an entrepreneur, at the Water Garden of Radisson Hotel in presence of close ones, on October 24.
“Everything happened in such a rush, but by the grace of the Almighty, all has been well. We haven't yet got time to even plan a honeymoon, but for now I can tell it will be somewhere in a faraway land,” a beaming Bindu informed.
But Bindu has been preparing, at least mentally, to tie the knot for a while, and as a result has not done any new TV play in a year. “I can't remember the name of the last play I worked in,” she smiled. “But whenever I have worked, I have done it sincerely.”
Fans of the gorgeous actress will certainly miss her – be it on TV, film or as a model, and many will certainly hope that she reconsiders the decision.
