Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal yesterday said the mystery behind Tonu murder would be revealed soon as the investigation was being conducted by a high profile team.

The minister told this to reporters at the closing ceremony of 21st International Convention on Students' Quality Control Circle 2018 at Daffodil International University in Dattapara of Ashulia.

Sohagi Jahan Tonu, a second-year history student of Comilla Victoria College and a member of Victoria College Theatre, was found dead at Comilla Mainamati Cantonment on March 20, 2016 after she went out of her residence for private tuition.

The minister also said yesterday that there was no alternative to quality education for sustainable development and that's why quality education should be emphasised.

Around 1,000 students and representatives from different institutions participated in the four-day event.
