Member of Jubo Samity shot dead in Khagrachhari

A member of Jubo Samity, a pro-Parbatya Chattagram Jana Samhati Samiti (PCJSS-MN Larma) body, was shot dead in Khagrachhari's Ramgarh upazila yesterday.

  Quoting locals, police said unidentified criminals opened fire on Mohan Tripura, 35, inside his home in Jagannathpara area around 7:30pm and fled immediately.

On information, law enforcers rescued the victim and took him to the upazila health complex where doctors declared him dead.  

The identity of the attackers could not be known immediately.

Tareq Mohammad Abdul Hannan, officer-in-charge of Ramgarh Police Station, confirmed the incident.

Police said they were trying to arrest the killers.
