IS-claimed suicide attacks kill 3 in Yemen's Aden
Two suicide car bombings against security forces in the southern Yemeni port of Aden killed at least three people Saturday, an official said, in an attack claimed by the Islamic State group.
Two guards and a woman died in the blasts after the assailants rammed their explosive-laded vehicles into the headquarters of an anti-terror unit in Aden's Tawahi district, a security official said.
"The two suicide bombers died as well as two guards and a passerby," the official told AFP, adding that a number of civilians on a nearby beach were wounded.
IS propaganda arm Amaq claimed the attack in a message on the Telegram messaging app, saying two of the group's fighters carried out the "martyrdom-seeking" operation.
The bombings comes after deadly clashes in Aden last month that saw southern separatists seize much of the strategic coastal city from the Saudi-backed government.
