Body of missing boy found

Police have recovered the body of a 13-year-old boy who went missing from Khilgaon in the capital four days ago.

The body of Zisan Hosen, a student of class-VII at Sipahibag International Ideal School and College, was found in a canal at Aftabnagar of Badda on Monday, Kazi Wazed Ali, officer-in-charge of Badda Police Station, told The Daily Star yesterday.

Relatives of Zisan identified him at Dhaka Medical Collage morgue yesterday.

The boy went missing on January 19. Later, his father started receiving texts from his mobile number, asking Tk 15 lakh in ransom for his release, said Sohag Khan, victim's cousin.

The family filed a general diary with Khilgaon Police Station on January 20.

Police said they were trying to arrest the culprits.
