A Midsummer Night's Dream staged at JKKNIU

A five-day show of staging Shakespeare's evergreen comedy “A Midsummer Night's Dream” concluded at Studio Theatre Hall of Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University (JKKNIU) in Trishal of Mymensingh Sunday evening.

Students of Masters second semester of Theatre and Performance Studies Department of the university staged the play, as part of their practical performance.

Directed by Ismat Ara Bhuiya Ela, head of the department, the play was adopted from the Bangla translation of Sudhangshu Ranjan Ghosh.

Marking the concluding ceremony, a discussion meeting was held.

Director General of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy Liaquat Ali Lucky, proctor of JKKNIU Prof Dr Jahidul Kabir and teachers of the university addressed the discussion, among others.
