Richard Marx coming to Dhaka
US contemporary and pop/rock singer-songwriter Richard Marx is set to perform in a concert in Dhaka on May 16, a Facebook post by consumer engagement, music and entertainment company Creinse revealed. Marx's tour schedule on his official site also lists the concert.
Creinse is organising the concert, to be held at the International Convention Centre. Further details of the event are still under wraps.
Richard Marx, one of the most prominent names of global contemporary music of the late '80s and '90s, has sold 30 million records worldwide, and is known best for hits like “Right Here Waiting”, “Endless Summer Nights”, “Now and Forever”, “Hazard” and “At the Beginning” (with Donna Lewis). Although his music primarily consists of ballad-type songs, he has made a fair volume of music with a classic rock touch. Marx placed himself in the record books by being the first solo artiste to have his first seven singles hit the Top 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart.
