“Kichhu Smriti Kichhu Bedona” released
Singer Shumona Haque's solo audio album “Kichhu Smriti Kichhu Bedona” is now in the audio market. PBS Music has produced the album. Shumona has written all the seven tracks, including “Tomaro Amaye Mone Porbe”, “Isharatey, Ei Raat-e”, “ Sajani Jeyona”, “Elo Baishakh” and the title track while Jaspal Moni has directed music for the album.
The album tracks, recorded in Saatwika studio, Mumbai, India, are mellow. The music arrangement for all the songs is quite refined, thanks to the acoustic instrumental accompaniment incorporating the flute, sitar, violin, Murad Ali sarangi, tenor and soprano saxophone, and melodic, mandolin guitar, santoor, tabla and dhol. Rajesh Singh recorded and mixed sound for the tracks.
The track “Sajani Jeyona” is one of the standouts, although her voice seems 'artificially' modulated in a few tracks. Her pronunciation of the lyrics also needs to be more polished.
