1st trailer for Martin Scorsese’s ‘Silence’ is out
The 1st trailer of the new film by American director, Martin Scorsese, which he took over 20 years to make, is finally out.
The trailer was released yesterday and since then it has had more than five lakh views.
It's been a passion project for the director of films like Shutter Island, Hugo, The Wolf of Wall Street, Taxi Driver and many more. "Silence," hits theaters on December 23 and it's already generating some early awards hype, reports Business Insider.
Set during the 17th century, the film follows two Jesuit priests, played by Andrew Garfield and Adam Driver, who embark on a journey into the Japanese jungle to find their mentor, played by Liam Neeson. From the trailer, it appears their efforts to find their mentor and spread the gospel of Christianity is met with violence and persecution.
