“Music is the source of great inspiration for Bangladeshis. It played a role of national awakening call for unity during our Liberation War. Culture and all its elements are the reflection of our peoples' aspiration and promise,” said M Amir-Ul-Islam.
“Culture is the mirror of a nation. It indicates a nation's identity. Though our country is 45 year old, our culture dates back thousands of years. As a Freedom Fighter, I know the immense contributions of the artistes of Shadhin Bangla Betar Kendra (SBBK) to our Liberation War. The record play of the songs like 'Mora Ekti Phulke Banchabo' and 'Joy Bangla Banglar Joy' would run in our blood. Music was used as the signal of military intelligence at that time. 18 Pakistani warships were sunk in a day, which was called 'Operation Jackpot', with the signal of two songs aired on SBBK,” mentioned Harun-ar-Rashid.
“I am greatly optimistic of Bangladeshi peoples' affinity to our culture. With a deep love for our culture and country, they respond passionately and timely,” said Abdul Hannan Khan.
