Arnold Schwarzenegger is an aging Terminator in new 'Genisys' teaser
Ahead of the Super Bowl, Paramount Pictures has released a new TV ad for "Terminator Genisys."
It's that time of year again. As Americans gets ready to gather around the small screen for the Super Bowl, Hollywood studios are busy coming out with short teasers for their upcoming movies.
Paramount, for one, chose to share its video for "Terminator: Genisys" ahead of the game. The trailer for the sequel/reboot shows Arnold Schwarzenegger as the famous Terminator T800 cyborg, who has clearly aged since 1984. While the original plot remains in place -- John Connor sends one of his soldiers into the past to save his mother -- the passage of time has been altered, and the protagonists face new enemies.
Directed by Alan Taylor, who has helmed several episodes of "Game of Thrones," the new movie also features Emilia Clarke ("Game of Thrones"), Jai Courtney ("A Good Day to Die Hard"), Jason Clarke ("Dawn of the Planet of the Apes"), Matt Smith ("Dr. Who") and J.K. Simmons ("Whiplash"). "Terminator: Genisys" is due in US theaters on July 1.
