Abducted boy found beheaded in Pabna
Police recovered the decapitated body of a boy at Vadra village in Chatmohar upazila of Pabna yesterday two days after he had been abducted.
Md Abdullah Al Nur, 4, son of Abul Hosain, was picked up from in front of his residence at Choto Shalikha village in the upazila on Wednesday morning, said police.
The beheaded body of Nur, whose hands were also amputated, was found beside Vadra Government Primary School.
Following a case filed by the victim's father, police arrested six persons, of whom three are the victim's relatives, in different areas of Chatmohar.
They are Md Abdus Samad, 40, Kabir Hossain, 21, Hazi Alep Ali Molla, 70, Aeyasha Bewa, 55, Jakirul Islam, 25, and Yeasin Ali, 32.
Of them, Aeyasha is Nur's step grandmother while Kabir and Samad are uncles, police said.
Chatmohar Police Station Officer-in-Charge Subrata Kumar Sarkar said the boy might have been killed due to family feud over land dispute, adding that they were searching for the head.
