13, including 6 Ijtema devotees, killed in road crashes
Road accidents killed 13 people, including six Ijtema devotees, and injured 21 others in the country Saturday and yesterday.
Our staff correspondent reports, three people were killed and two others injured as a bus hit a rickshaw carrying them at the capital's Rustumpur in Mirpur Beribandh yesterday morning.
The dead were Rafiqul Islam, 31, his son Yasin, 9, and Ripon, 8. Ripon's father Saidul Islam and the rickshaw-puller were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
Our Mymensingh correspondent reports, six devotees were killed and 10 others injured when a Biswa Ijtema-bound human hauler carrying them collided head-on with a bus at Dhalibari in Bhaluka Saturday night, said police.
The deceased were Abdus Salam, Liton Miah, Helal Uddin, Shahjahan Kabir, Akram Hossain, and Ashraf Hossain.
