Political Bickering:
Taking us Nowhere

Accusing the political opponent for anything bad has been a long established culture among our politicians. In the first couple of days after the deadly grenade attack on the AL rally on August 21 many hoped to see an end to that tradition when people cutting across all political camps, beliefs and ideologies condemned the heinous crime in unison. The almost unanimous reaction was that this attack was not just against a group of individuals but an attack on the sovereignty, democracy and secular values of the country. They all demanded quick arrest of "the enemy of the country". The government, apparently shocked, vowed to hunt down the perpetrators of such a gruesome crime.
