Watch 350 balls of cotton turn into a shirt

An incredible CNN video shows a fluffy cloudy pile of cotton turning into a shirt. A plough-like machine combs through the pile of cotton in order to detangle the fibres. Then flakes fly through a tube to blow all the debris away.
Cotton flakes become thick dreadlocks of yarn in this process and run through machines repeatedly to become thin as hair. Then the threads are twisted to make them stronger. Next the spider web of thread turns into fabric. Tiny needles weave thousands of strands into colorful cloth.
350 cotton balls make 57 miles of yarn that make 1.8 yards of fabric that make one shirt! The fabric is cut to pattern, pressed, stitched and buttoned. This Vardman Group factory in Punjab, India makes 1,452,00 shirts a year consuming 508 million cotton balls.
