U-19s lose to England
Bangladesh lose by seven wickets in their final group match of the ICC U-19 World Cup against England at Queenstown today.
Having opted to bat first Bangladesh were in early trouble losing four wickets for just 27 runs inside nine overs but a 94-run fifth wicket partnership between Aminul Islam (31) and Afif Hossain, who struck a 85-ball 63 allowed the young Tigers to recover and gave the innings some stability.
However Tigers saw another collapse as they lost four more wickets in just 14 runs and the Tigers' innings folded at 175 runs before the end of the 50 overs.
Ethan Barber and Euan Woods both grabbed three wickets for England.
England too were in early trouble as they started their chase of 176. They were three down for 49 runs in 10 overs before England captain Harry Cook's unbeaten ton saw them coast to victory without an further loss of wickets.
