Passport fees from now on can be deposited in five more banks besides Sonali Bank.

Dhaka Bank, Bank Asia, Premier Bank, One Bank and Trust Bank will provide the services from February 15 this year, reports Bangla daily Prothom Alo.

The fees can be paid online through credit card and mobile phone.
The Immigration and Passport Directorate has already signed a deal with the authorities of these five banks in this regard, said Brig Gen Masud Rezwan, director of Machine Readable Passport (MRP) project.
The money can be deposited at any branch of these banks, he added.
